Harry the Hacker

We don't know his real name. 

We've never been introduced.

We've only seen each other across balconies.

Yet Harry has been a part of our lives since we arrived in Prague more than a year ago. 

We've come to know a lot about "Harry".

Harry is a long-time smoker. 

We know because Harry steps out onto his balcony, lights up a cigarette, and starts hacking.

Harry has insomnia.

We know because Harry wakes us up hacking on his balcony at all hours of the night.

Harry doesn't like snow.

We know because when there's snow on his balcony Harry chooses to smoke with his head sticking out of his rooftop skylight.   NO JOKE!

Harry has a significant other. 

We know because she joins Harry on the balcony regularly for mutual smoking sessions.

Harry likes to be comfortable.

We know because Harry often wears his pajamas and bathrobe out on the balcony while he smoking.

Harry is different.

We know because Harry appears on his balcony when very few other people seem to use their access to the outdoors.

Harry is home a lot of the time.

We know because Harry is on his balcony smoking at odd times on most days of the week.

One thing we don't know about Harry is why he continues to smoke.
